Their first party offerings are head and shoulders above anything else by far. True, even trying to emulate how poorly ME ran on the 360 would be hard for the PS3 to accomplish. It would probably still end up running much smooth.. They'd have to add a carp load of extra coad to make the frame rate stutter so much and even more code to get the same level of screen tearing that the 360 version features.
Who didn't expect this? People who buy 360's typically are Halo fans. On top of that the 360 has been in a massive drought for any worthy software for a long time. A mediocre title like ODST is better than nothing.. MS understood that 360 fans were going to get tired of playing Halo 3 and COD4 eventually.

ROFL.. that's because the first one looked and played like garbage on the 360.. Hideous framerates, screen tearing and load times..
Really it would be hard not to be much much better. And to be far ME2 actually looks worth of playing.
Yes it is not mandatory.. Just playing without the HDD results in a crappier experience (Which a applies to a lot of 360 owners). Isn't the first time non-HDD owners get shafted with less than optimal gaming experiences, at least they are used to it.
Still installing to the HDD doesn't magically make the game render in a HD resolution or improve the archaic graphics engine.

Greenawalt continued to stay, we simply don't have the talent or programming ability to squeeze out the power. Our games will continue to have archaic lighting models and floaty physics. Please ignore this and focus on the fact that you can paint your car!
An Average Game - correct average minus like every other Halo game. Yet M$ sheep will still flock to it like the masses flock.

as bad as HAZE is it still sports a more interesting and diverse campaign than any of the Halo games.
Maybe ODST will be the Haze killer. So far it isn't looking like it.
$60 for regurgitated 4 year old engine with a short campaign. Ok, that could be a blessing as every Halo campaign to date has been cut and past crap.
